About
Dominique Townsend's research focuses on Tibetan Buddhist writing about dreams and dreaming as a source of cultural history. She is Associate Professor of Religion at Bard College. Dominique is the author of a book of poems, The Weather & Our Tempers (Brooklyn Arts Press, 2014), Shantideva (Wisdom Publications, 2015), and A Buddhist Sensibility (Columbia University Press, 2021). Her current book project is provisionally titled All this is Dreamlike (forthcoming from Columbia University Press).

Title: Landol Lama's Investigation of Dreams & Signs of Dying.

Dominique Townsend will present an analysis and partial English translation of "Landol Lama's Investigation of Dreams & Signs of Dying." In particular, she will consider questions about positive and negative signs and how Landol Lama's teachings differ for lay and ordained dreamers.
